38 year-old-Bonnie Sweeten was arrested at Disney world, after faking the kidnapping of herself and her daughter Julia.
Bonnie made a frantic 911 call from her cell phone, saying that she and her daughter abducted by two black men and placed in the trunk of a black cadillac.
Bonnie’s husband Larry Sweeten was devastated, and pleaded to the alleged kidnappers on national television for the safe return of his wife and daughter.

But later it was found that, the kidnapping was all a hoax. Bonnie Sweeten and her daughter were located at Disney World in Florida. Bonnie was arrested, and media resources state that Julia is safe and waiting to re-join her father.
Media Sources say that Bonnie withdrew over 12,000 from a number of bank accounts, and she took the personal Id of one of her co-workers as well.
During an interview with the Today Show, Michele Henry Buck County District Attorney was asked if she believed that Bonnie Sweetens fake kidnapping was motivated by Racial Profiling.
Henry never gave Today an exact answer to the question,actually her answer seemed to be some-what of a cover up. But it was said that Bonnie embezzled hundreds of thousand of dollars from her family and Boss
Larry Sweeten was interviewed by the Today Show in-reference to his wife’s status before and after the she was arrested for the misdemeanor crime. Advertising . Larry Sweeten described his wife as a loving/caring person and mother, as he broke down in tears asking for his wife’s release. Julia is safe with her father.
One can’t help but wonder what would have happened to the African American community if Bonnie Sweeten and her daughter were not found,but what has happend has been a negative impact on the community.

Was this a happy ending? Yes for the child, but for others it’s just another day of Racial Profiling that must not be ignored by the press.
